Starlink raises most US plan prices; existing lines from June 18
In May 2026 Starlink raised the monthly price of most US Residential and Roam plans. New customers paid the new prices straight away, and existing customers from billing cycles on or after Jun 18. The new prices are what starlink.com lists today.

BackgroundThis change happened more than 90 days before we published this post. It’s here for context, because it still shapes what a US buyer sees today. Check the source date before relying on it.
The short version
- What changed?
- Residential 100 Mbps, 200 Mbps and Max each rose. So did Roam 100GB and Roam Unlimited. Roam 300GB was unchanged. Starlink's order data on Oct 6, 2026 shows the new prices.
- When did it change?
- Reported May 16, 2026: new prices immediately for new customers, and on billing cycles on or after Jun 18, 2026 for existing ones. We read the current prices in Starlink's order data on Oct 6, 2026.
- Who is affected?
- Everyone on, or ordering, the affected US plans. Starlink's help center says customers on promotional or discounted pricing keep that price until the promotion ends.
- What should you do now?
- Compare the plan prices on starlink.com for your address with any older article you're reading. Ignore "lock in the old price" codes. Starlink's help text doesn't describe any such thing.
- What stays the same?
- The referral free month is still one month of the plan you choose, applied to bill 2. There's still no promo code field, and promotional pricing still appears automatically where it's offered.
What happened
In mid-May 2026, Starlink emailed US customers about higher monthly prices. The Mobile Internet Resource Center reported the details on May 16, 2026. New customers paid the new prices immediately. Existing customers saw them on billing cycles on or after Jun 18, 2026. 9to5Google reported the same Residential and Roam figures on Jun 10.
Old and new prices

| Roam 300GB | $80/mo | $80/mo |
| Roam Unlimited | $165/mo | $175/mo |
The “Now” column comes from the data starlink.com loads with no address entered. Your address can show a different price where a promotion or area discount applies. Standby Mode also went up. See our Standby Mode post.
What Starlink says about price changes
Starlink’s help article on price adjustments gives the reasoning. It says Starlink is “rapidly increasing network capacity, expanding coverage, and improving reliability”, and that strong demand “reflects the value customers continue to see in the service”. The same article sets out three rules worth knowing:
- The new price starts with your first billing cycle on or after the effective date in your email. Only future cycles are affected.
- Starlink emails you before the billing date on which your price rises.
- If you’re on promotional, introductory or discounted pricing, your price stays the same until that period ends. After that, you move to the new standard price.
What it means if you’re looking for a code
A price rise usually brings a wave of “Starlink discount code” searches. Nothing has changed about the answer. No public US promo code exists, and Starlink’s own text on discounts never asks for one. Real reductions show up automatically when you enter your address. That includes promotional pricing where offered, and the area discounts Starlink added this year. The referral free month, which comes through a link, is worth one month of whichever eligible plan you choose. At the new prices, that month is worth more than it was. Our promo code guide and myths page cover the rest.
What you can check now
- Enter your address on starlink.com and note the price for each plan.
- If you’re already a customer, check your billing emails for your exact effective date.
- Use Billing → Preview invoice to see the price you’ll pay next.
What stays the same
There’s still no code box at US checkout. The referral benefit is still one free month on bill 2. Our FAQ answers still apply.
What we don’t know yet
- Starlink hasn't published the price change as a notice on its website. The dates come from customer emails as reported (checked 2026-10-06).
- We don't know whether prices differ by address within the US beyond the area discounts and promotions Starlink describes.
