How we check every claim

Every claim about codes, links, prices and rules has a source and a date. Here’s how that works.

Checked against Starlink’s own pages US service addresses only

Where facts come from

First choice is Starlink’s own text: its help-center articles, its US legal documents and the plan-price data its pages load. We read these directly. When Starlink doesn’t describe something, such as what the order page looks like, we use a named third-party guide and label it as such. We never copy starlink.com’s marketing text.

The four labels

  • Starlink’s own text Read from Starlink's own help-center, legal or plan-price data (the JSON that starlink.com pages load) on the date shown.
  • Third-party report Reported by a third-party site, with that site named. Labeled wherever it appears.
  • Our reading Starlink doesn't say this in so many words. It's our plain reading of Starlink's own text, labeled as such.
  • Not confirmed No source states it, or sources conflict. Never shown as a number or a promise.

How often we re-check

  • Every source at least every 30 days. Our automated checks fail if any fact gets older than that, so stale facts can’t ship unnoticed.
  • The Referral Program Terms weekly, because Starlink can change them on 30 days’ notice.
  • Right away when a reader reports a change, and the result goes in the corrections log.

What we won’t publish

  • A price or rule we can’t source. It appears as “not confirmed”, never as a guess.
  • Invented testimonials, reviews, or people.
  • Codes from coupon sites or strangers.
  • Pages written only to rank for a search. Every page here answers one question that no other page on the site answers.

Screenshots

The walkthrough uses our own schematic drawings until we can add dated screenshots from our own order. Screenshots will be cropped, with logos removed, and captioned “Screenshot of starlink.com, taken [date]”.

AI assistance

Drafts may be written with AI help. Every fact is checked against the source listed on the page, and a person reviews each page before it goes live.
