Referral terms republished Oct 3, 2026: what it means for code users
A new version of the Referral Program Terms went live on Oct 3. We read it in full. For someone using a code, the working rules are unchanged from what this site already says.

- What changed?
- Starlink’s US legal-document list shows a new published version of the Referral Program Terms dated Oct 3, 2026. We read the whole text on Oct 5. We didn’t save the previous version, so we can’t list line-by-line changes and won’t guess at them.
- When did it change?
- Published Oct 3, 2026; read by us Oct 5, 2026. Starlink can change the program again on 30 days’ notice.
- Who is affected?
- Anyone about to order with a referral code or link, and anyone holding a code from before October.
- What should you do now?
- Nothing new. Open the link (don’t look for a code box), order on starlink.com, and check for “Referral Code Applied” before paying. Codes from before the update aren’t mentioned as changed.
- What stays the same?
- The referral still has to come through the customer’s own link or code, the order still has to be placed on starlink.com, you still have to be new to Starlink, and the free month still lands on bill 2.

“Unique Referral Link” means the personalized hyperlink or code generated for a Referrer through the SpaceX Customer Portal or other authorized channel for the purpose of tracking referrals under the Program.

The Referred Subscriber places an order for a Starlink Kit using the Unique Referral Link provided by the Referrer. No other referral mechanism shall qualify as an Eligible Referral.

The Referred Subscriber must purchase a Starlink Kit and subscription directly from www.starlink.com. Signing up through any other channel is not eligible for a Reward, including, but not limited to, retail stores, unauthorized resellers, or a private transfer from a third party.

Upon activation, the Referred Subscriber will receive one free month of service on the eligible service plan of their selection, applied to their second monthly subscription invoice.
